Jakes doesn't mean she's passing judgement on the women who may be struggling with poor decision making or thoughts that may not often be a topic for discussion in church. Sarah Jakes Roberts opens her heart and soul to share the trails of her life and how she has became who she is now.

When I w It took me six months to process this book as I read bits and pieces of it. From being a teen mom to going through a marriage and divorce at such an early age, what I learned is that I have perseverance, that I have dedication, that I know how to take the bricks that life has thrown at me and build a house, to build confidence and to be comfortable in my own skin. But overall, for me the book lacked depth. There could be this reservoir of experience that helps other women tap into their potential. I just chose to write it because I wrote my memoir, Lost And Found, which was a bestselling book. Sarah Jakes Roberts knows what it is like to break destructive cycles and discover the best that life has to offer to those who refuse to just settle.

But there were some things that I had to start believing about who I was on the inside. I know a lot of people will resonate with this book however it was not my cup of tea. Your ability to share without holding back makes my crazy seem normal. This was my first time ever reading a book written by Sarah Jakes Roberts.

I use my own life as an example because I think our lives are the best witnesses we have. No matter what you are going through, when you read her books, it's right on time! Two books I am grateful to have and will read over and over again. Pregnant at fourteen, married by nineteen, divorced by twenty-two, and all while under the intense spotlight of being Bishop T. And just because she's the daughter of high profile megachurch pastor Bishop T. When you become so consumed with counting what is going wrong in your life that you do not take time to truly appreciate what is going well you invite despair. Preventing injuries - preventing catastrophic losses - protecting the organization from regulatory problems - and showing value to the organization.

But when the picture was snapped there was so much pain and hurt on the other side. How has this affected you in your choices? Sarah's captivating story, unflinchingly honest and deeply vulnerable, is a vivid reminder that God can turn even the deepest pain into His perfection. There are numerous valuable nuggets Sarah Jakes Roberts knows that we, as women, will feel overwhelmed at times, and she wants to remind the reader that they're not alone in their journey. She is still my best friend today. I particularly like how she takes the time to share her own story and give advice that may help others throughout each chapter.

I am looking forward to reading more from her. Itoffers solutions for dealing with change management and willencourage you to pursue your career goals with renewed vigour andempowerment. The courage to make yourself vulnerable first so you can heal and then heal others is one you don't get through without God's love and the right people who provide a safe space. I enjoyed Don't Settle for Safe even though it was a little choppy in some places. With deeply personal stories of her own, Sarah helps readers find their way to the right perspective and the confidence to walk toward the best God has for them. Every woman, especially young women, should hear it! I am always open to suggestion. Reading her words can be an invaluable and impactful experience just like hearing her speak or preach.

I liked the combination of Bible Scripture with Sarah's life experience. To be fair, I probably shouldn't have bought the book because I don't shy away from discomfort, and I've never settled for safe, so I'm clearly not the target market and am not struggling with the issues detailed in its pages. Right now I am reading Trust by Iyanla January 22, 2018 at 7:56 pm Love this! Growth requires the discipline to do what most people can not because they are unwilling to risk discomfort. If you want to revamp your life by delving into some areas of your life that make you uncomfortable, then read this book! I did push through and found there were some nuggets of wisdom. He offers biblical lessons to aid in combating bad habits and limiting patterns so the best version of ourselves emerges. I had to believe that there were no limits to what I could do.

My spirit was quickened when hearing those words and I knew that they would be the title of my book. Biblical stories and verses are appropriately woven throughout. Compassion is the best action for all when dealing with these people often times. This book also forced me to be open and honest with myself, which is something I tend to no do. In order to manifest what they see as the vision for their life, they first have to take a moment and recognize what experiences have shaped them, what relationships may control them or empower them, and learn to really use all of those as momentum to really manifest what God has for them.
